Frequently asked questions

The safety of both our patients and staff is of utmost importance. All of our dental staff, including assistants, hygienists, and doctors, are fully equipped with all required PPE, including gowns, N95 and surgical masks, gloves, and hair coverings. Our front desk staff are equipped with masks, and frequently disinfect high-touch areas. Each room is fully cleaned and sanitized between patients, and office capacity is limited. All patients must wear a mask when entering the office and waiting in the lobby, and when they exit the office. Hand sanitizer is readily available to patients when entering and exiting the office. Staff members are required to stay home when sick, as are patients.

What happens during my first appointment?

We ask that you arrive 10-15 minutes before your appointment time in order to fill out New Patient paperwork and get checked in by our front desk. You will then meet with one of our hygienists, where you will first get x-rays taken, then begin your dental cleaning. Once you are finished with your cleaning, Dr. Bashawaty will meet with you, do an oral exam, and speak with you about any treatment that is needed, discuss your overall oral health, and answer any questions you may have. If treatment is needed, our Treatment Coordinator or Office Manager will go over it with you, and get you back on the schedule to begin your treatment.
If you have booked a Consult appointment only, your appointment will just consist of x-rays and an oral evaluation with Dr. Bashawaty. Depending on your needs, a CT scan or Panoramic X-Ray may be required to further diagnose you.
